Crystal Irom:
Hello, it is Crystal Irom here. I am live and I’m not going to go on too long. I really want to talk about a specific thing today and that is alignment. Alignment is really a word that you hear a lot when it comes to manifestation. And alignment, what does that even mean? I think it sounds like a buzzword. Does it actually mean anything?
I want to break down what it does actually mean and how it comes to play and its significance when we’re talking about manifesting something. And I want to explain it in a way that you can really understand.
So I want you to imagine that you are going to be driving from Michigan to Southern California. You’re going to be taking a cross-country road trip. And I’m using that because I’ve done that trip. I’ve driven from Michigan to Southern California when I went to college in Southern California. It’s about 33 hours.
Imagine that you get in your car, you’re going to be driving from Michigan to Southern California, and you are feeling wild. So you get in your car without a map, no GPS, no ways. And you’re just going to wing it.
And the other weird thing is that your gas tank only can be refueled up about 10%. So you fill up your gas tank, full 10% that it allows, and you start your little drive. But obviously, you have to stop pretty frequently because your tank doesn’t fill all the way up. It’s only getting filled up every 10%. So every bit of the way, you’re stopping and refueling your tank. You don’t really know exactly where you’re going. You’re like, “I get that I’m going west quite a bit, but I’m going to be going west and I’m going to be going a bit south.”
So you’re generally driving South and West, you’re stopping constantly to fill up your gas tank. And then the weather gets bad. So it starts out and it’s just some rain. And then it’s some rain and thunder. And then it’s rain, thunder, and also lighting. And then it’s hailing. And then you’ve got your radio on and you hear that there’s also a tornado warning. So here you are driving from Michigan to Southern California without a map, without a clear direction of where you’re going, only able to fuel your tank about 10% of the way, so you’re constantly running out of gas, and now there’s going to be a tornado.
This is an example of misalignment. Nothing is fully aligned here. Nothing is matching up in terms of what you are creating. The circumstances surrounding what you want, getting from Michigan to Southern California, are not a match. You can get there, but it’s not going to be easy. It’s going to be pretty tricky. By the time you get to Iowa, you’re going to be like, “I’m so done with this. What am I doing? I don’t even know if I’m going the right direction.”
It’s also like, you go to IKEA – “I’m going to IKEA because I am going to be buying a new wardrobe. I don’t have a closet. So I’m going to buy a wardrobe where I can put my clothes.” So you go and you’re looking at all of the wardrobes and you’re like, “Beautiful. I found the perfect one.” And it’s gorgeous. It’s got these big doors. The doors have mirrors on them. And you’ve got the shelves. You’re thinking about how everything that you have is going to fit perfectly into this wardrobe. Beautiful. Great. So you go check out and you’re driving home and you’re so excited about this beautiful wardrobe you’re going to put together. It seems like, “This is going to be so good.”
And you’re like, “As soon as I get home, I’m going to put this together. That’s the project I have today. This is the only day that I have off work, where I’m going to actually have the time to put this together.” Fine. So you get home and you know that you have a couple of hours to put this thing together, but it’s madness at your house. There is a party going on. So your family’s there, your extended family, your friends, there’s a bunch of kids running around, there are cats, there are dogs. It’s just utter mayhem.
“But I really have to put this together today. And there’s this loud party going on.” It’s boiling hot. It’s really, really hot. The air conditioning is broken. People are doing fireworks outside. So there are all these loud booms and the chatter of people talking and everyone’s running around, you don’t have a nice, clear space. This is what you got to work with. This is what you have. All right, I’m going to make the best of it, right? So you pour out your box with all of the pieces, and there are no instructions inside. How am I going to figure this out? But you can see where things go. So you’re like, “I’m going to do my best to figure it out even without the instructions.” And then you look at the box and there’s also no picture of what you’re building on the box.
And you’re like, “What in the world? Why didn’t they include the picture?” There’s no instruction. There’s no picture. So you just spend memory trying to remember what you’re creating, trying to remember what you need to recreate here.
This is a really clear example of misalignment. You can still get there. You can still build that wardrobe. You can figure it out. You can piece it together, but the environment is not ideal. There’s this loud noise. You’re overheated. People are making a lot of noise. There are people running around. You’ve got a puppy trying to steal the pieces. It’s madness. It’s not the ideal environment. You can still do it, but it’s not going to be easy.
Now, let’s go back to that first scenario. You’re driving from Michigan to Southern California, but now you’ve got a map, you know exactly where you’re going. You’ve figured it out. You’re like, “This is the perfect stretch. I’m going to do this stretch. It’s going to take this amount of time. Then I’ll sleep for the night.” You’ve figured out where exactly you’re going to be staying along your route.
You have a car that’s a hybrid. So you’ve got a gas tank that fills all the way up, but also it’s extremely fuel-efficient, and you’ve got a little bit of electricity there, so you can go for miles and miles and miles, hundreds of miles before you need to even refill your tank. And the weather, it’s perfect. There is not a cloud in the sky. It’s beautiful. It’s perfect. Everything is aligned. So you’re going to get there and it’s going to be so much easier. You’re going to get there faster. The trip is going to go so much more smoothly.
You know what you’re doing. You have a clear vision. You have the fuel, you have the right environment. That is alignment. So in the first scenario, it’s not that you were not going to get there, is that it’s going to be a lot harder. Things are not lined up in your favor. Whereas here, everything’s perfect.
You’ve gone to IKEA, you’ve picked out that beautiful wardrobe and you get home, so quiet. Your home is totally clean. You have this huge empty space where you can just spread everything out. You look at the box and there’s this beautiful, clear picture of what you’re building. So as you’re looking at the box, you’re like, “This is going to be so good. This is totally worth my while. I’m really excited about what I’m building. I love this.” And you’ve got the instructions. The instructions are step-by-step. Here’s exactly what I’m going to do. Here are my pieces of what I’m putting together. That is the difference.
It’s taking the road trip without enough fuel, without knowing where you’re going, without knowing how you’re going to get there. It’s putting together that IKEA wardrobe with a terrible environment versus a beautiful, calm, quiet environment. So those are the pieces that we’re looking at. You have to have the vision, where am I going? And what am I creating?
Vision is the first step of what you want to have when you are manifesting because vision is your fuel. That is what’s going to keep you going. That’s going to be what keeps you excited about what you’re creating. When you do not have a clear vision, it is very hard to stay, not even motivated, it’s hard to stay on the path. When you’re like, “I vaguely know that I want something different in my life. I vaguely know I want to make more money. I vaguely know that I’d like to have a new job. I vaguely have in my mind that it’d be nice to have a relationship,” but there’s no clarity around it, you do not stay fueled. It is hard to stay on the path because there’s nothing to keep you going. That’s that situation where you’ve only got that fuel tank that can take 10%.
You don’t know where you’re going. You do not have the fuel. That’s when you’re trying to build the wardrobe and you do not have a picture of what you’re looking at. You’re like, “I’m over it. I don’t remember what the point of this was. I don’t know what I’m looking at.” Your vision is the fuel. Then, you want to have the right environment. So you have a clear vision. Then you want to have the right environment. And when we’re talking about manifestation, the environment includes your physical surroundings, but what we’re really talking about is the mental and the energetic environment. The beliefs and the energy that support what you’re creating. The beliefs and the energy, that support what you’re creating, create an environment where it’s easy to create what you want.
And then you need your instructions. How are you actually going to get here? These are your instructions. This is the step by step “what am I doing”? This is your map. Here is where we’re going. And that’s what I like to think of as your manifesto. Who is the woman that you need to be that’s going to allow you to create what you want?
So, these three aspects of alignment, this is what we’re focusing on creating and really getting lined up properly in my new program, Identity Alchemy. The core of this program is each of these three parts, creating that really clear vision, creating the right environment, and then creating your manifesto so that you can really become the person you need to be.
This is how you’re able to manifest faster. This is how you get into alignment. That’s the alignment I was referring to when each of those parts is checking you.
When I was pregnant last year, I had a condition that made it so that I had very severe morning sickness for my entire pregnancy. And it went all day and all night, it was not morning sickness. It was all day and all night extreme misery, could not get out of bed, could not stop getting sick-ness. It was the most sick and miserable I’ve ever been in my life. It went on for months. Basically from May, when I was about two months pregnant, until December 25th, when my baby was born, I vomited pretty much every day. Up to 15, 16 times a day. Often around 7, 8, 9 times a day. Pretty much everything I ate came up.
As it got later in the pregnancy, I was keeping more down, but I was nauseous nonstop. I was so sick. And I completely lost my vision in terms of what I wanted for myself, what I wanted to create. I had no drive. I had no motivation and it was really heartbreaking for me because I love my work. I love the work that I do. I love working, and losing that aspect of myself was very confusing and very challenging. Now, I didn’t give it up. I didn’t completely stop working entirely, but certainly not the way that I was used to and certainly not the way that I liked to. It was much more of an effort. I didn’t have my vision anymore. I could no longer remember what I was creating. I didn’t have any fuel. I had no fuel. I could not go. My tank was on empty.
Everything was this huge effort. I had to work myself up to doing anything, which was very, very hard. During the months when it was the worst June, July, August, I don’t think I did a lot during that time period. I don’t think I wrote. I mean, I barely wrote any new content. I don’t know if I wrote any new content at all. I lost my vision. It was very, very hard for me to move towards what I desired. So I didn’t. Last year was not a growth year for me. It was a year of definite stagnation, maybe even loss. If I look at the numbers of my business it definitely was not a growth year. I did not have any vision. I had no fuel. And what was very hard was that I didn’t know if I was ever going to come back.
I did not know if I was ever going to feel inspired or excited about my business again. I didn’t know if I was ever going to regain that vision. I said to Kobi, “I don’t know if I’m going to work anymore.” And he was like, “Okay, if that’s really your choice.” I don’t think he fully bought it because he knows how much I love my work, but that’s where I was. That’s how I felt. I completely lost my vision. I had no fuel. And then I had the baby. And after I had the baby, I started to regain my vision. I started to again, see what I wanted to create. And having the baby gave me a totally different, a new sense of purpose. It gave me further meaning to what I wanted to do and the way I wanted to show up in the world.
All of a sudden, I had this whole new source of fuel where it’s like, “I’m not just creating this for myself or the women that I work with, but now I have a daughter. I have a daughter who I want to show what it’s like to be a woman in the world, to have a vision, to have something you’re excited about, to go after the things that excite me and inspire me. I want to show her that you can create whatever you want in your life. I want to be an example to her. I want her to be proud of me”. I had this whole additional level of vision. I had more fuel than I’d had in months, in almost a year. And that is why I was able to go from making $5,000 in January and February, combined in my business. That’s how much I brought in. And I only brought that in because I have automation set up. I had just had a baby. I had a six-week-old. I didn’t have any sleep. That’s how much I made in those two months. And in March and April, when I had this clear vision, when I had this fuel, I made $50,000 in the same time period, $5,000 to $50,000. And it’s not a brand new business, but it felt like I was starting from scratch. I had not been present. I had not been creating and that’s how fast I was able to make that jump because I had that fuel, from $5,000 to $50,000. It’s not two times, it’s not three times, literally 10 times the amount.
I wasn’t working 10 times harder. I still had a tiny baby. I had a three-month-old, four-month-old, I was working a few hours a day. But I had a vision that was then fueling me. You have to have the vision, that is your fuel. And then you have to have the right environment. So the right environment is having the right beliefs. People say to me a lot, “Well, I think the reason I’m not manifesting is that I can’t be positive all the time. There’s no way for me to be happy all the time, so there’s no way for me to manifest. It’s really frustrating because, I think I’m going to do it, but then something happens and I’m in a bad mood and then I can’t do anything. I can’t manifest because I feel it’s impossible to stay happy. I don’t think manifestation works because it’s impossible to be happy all the time. I don’t have it in me to be positive all the time.”
You do not have to be positive all the time to manifest. That is not what it takes. No rule says that you can only manifest when you are happy or you can only manifest when you’re positive unless you have that rule. Creating the right environments, having those blue skies on your drive, having the quiet and clear space so you can focus on building, having the right environment and having the beliefs that are a match to what you want to create. So if you have a belief that, I cannot manifest, if I’m unhappy, then you will not manifest when you’re unhappy. If you believe that I can’t manifest if I’m in a bad mood, you will not manifest if you’re in a bad mood. And there’s a couple of different types of beliefs that we come across. Because we have beliefs that are very specific about the specific thing that we desire to create.
So when it comes to love, you can have a limiting belief that says, men are jerks and you meet men that are jerks. You could have a belief that says, I can only make it past the first date, I never get second dates. And then that’s what shows up in your experience. You can have a belief about money that says, I cannot make money from something I do on my own, I can only make money through a job. And so you always have a job that works well, but whenever you started a side business, you’re never able to bring money into that. Or you could have a belief that says, I can only bring in money through my partner, I can’t bring in money on my own. So whenever you try manifesting money, your husband gets a raise or his business starts making more money.
There can be things where this is very specific or we can have much larger overarching goals. For example, life is hard for me. Life is hard for me. Or I can get what I want, but it’s always a big struggle. Or it’s always something. Things might go well for a little while, but it’s always something, something else will come up, where you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. To create the ideal environment for manifesting, we have to eliminate the beliefs that stop us from having what we want. I had a belief for a long, long, long, long, long, long time, pretty much my whole life that said, things are really hard for me. Things are really hard for me. Not that I can never get what I want. I can get what I want sometimes, but that’d be really hard first. Things can go well, I can get things that I want, but there’s got to be some prickly stuff. There’s no such thing as things just working out for me, me just having what I want. Things just going really smoothly.
So here’s why this is very important. I’m going to tell you a quick story. Years ago, I had a Ford Escape. That was the car that I got when I was going through college. It was used but it was nice. I liked it. It was a few years old when I got it, had however many miles, but it was a stable, solid, good car for me, until it wasn’t. It started giving me a lot of problems. My battery life was dying really quickly and so for ages, I made things really hard for myself because I believe that things had to be hard and I didn’t replace my battery. I didn’t just replace my battery. I got used to having to start my car over and over again. And every couple of months, I would have to call AAA and get a jump. And this went on for maybe a year or more, where my battery was really at the end of its rope.
I thought, “I’ve got to get every last bit of life out of this car battery”. And then it finally died and I had to replace it. After that, the car was constantly giving me issues but it was still driving. It was still alive. It was still making it. But I had at this point, graduated law school, was practicing law, was making six figures at this job that I had. I could afford a new car, but my car was still working. So, I couldn’t get behind getting a new car.
And I had the thought, I want a white car with a black interior and I want something that goes really fast. I want a fast, sporty car. I’m in my twenties, got this high-paying job, I don’t have a ton of responsibilities. I want a fast, white, sexy sports car. That’s what I want. So I had this thought and I kid you not, from the time that I had that thought to the time that I had that sports car, it was less than a week. Can’t remember exactly how many days now, but it was less than a week.
So hearing that, that sounds like alignment, right? That’s like, that’s really fast. Because it was literally the first time I had a thought white, fast sports car, that sounds good. Less than a week later, I’ve got the car. I’m in it. I’m feeling good. My music’s loud, amazing, love the car.
It sounds like alignment because it happened fast. I decided I wanted it and then I got it. But what happened was, I was driving and I got into a car accident and my car was totaled. I was totally fine, thank God. The other driver was totally fine, but my car was totaled. I had to get a new car at that point. So, I go to the dealership, I’m very excited about getting my new car, after getting over the shock of having a car accident. And I’ve got to tell you, this accident was surreal. It felt like it was happening in slow motion because I’m in the left turn lane in a big street and another car coming from the other direction just drives right into me. It felt like slow motion.
Obviously, the driver’s not going particularly fast. Thank God. That’s part of why I was safe. But it was crazy. It was just like what’s happening? Why is this person just driving into my car?
So I had this belief that things were hard. And even though I got what I wanted, it ends up being much harder. I got to the dealership, I find the car that I want right away. I had in my mind, as soon as I knew I needed a new car, I knew what it was going to be. But I couldn’t just have the car. No, I ended up being at the dealership all day long because my credit wasn’t great. I couldn’t get the car that I wanted so they’re trying to figure out all this fancy financing so that I could actually get the car because I could afford the car. I made enough of the car, but my credit wasn’t good.
So I got there, but it was so laborious and arduous and it was just such an ordeal because the environment wasn’t fully right. So I was aligned enough to get it, but it was hard. It’s like, you can build the wardrobe, but it’s hard, harder than it needs to be. You can get to California, but it’s hard, harder than it needs to be. We create the right environment by clearing our limiting beliefs and transmuting any shadow. Any parts of you that do not actually want the thing that you think that you do, the subconscious beliefs, the things that are holding you back.
So whatever it is that you desire to create, that’s the alignment that you want. You need the environment, you need the vision, and you need the instructions. And the instructions are what I’m going to call your manifesto. So in Identity Alchemy, we’re going to create that manifesto so you can really align. We’re going to clear anything in between you and what you want and we’re going to get really clear on that vision. So that is all that I have for today. And I look forward to seeing all of you and I’ll talk to you all soon.
